Just barely a month after Turf Season’s nationwide screening camp in six states in February, a 30-strong shortlist of talented young footballers across Nigeria has been reached. Hundreds of players, out of over 1,000 that initially applied, showed up ready for the Turf Season challenge in the six camp centres in Abuja, Delta, Enugu, Lagos, Kaduna and Rivers.
Paschal Agonsi, Project Director TurfSeason, reassured that “It was no mean feat scouring the country in search of these talented youngsters.” In an address at The Final 30 Unveiling press conference, he was confident that “these talents truly deserve the Turf Season platform to develop and advance their football career.”
The shortlisted players have been requested for further trials and to participate in a 3-day football camp in Lagos, on April 25-27, 2016, where 15 outstanding players will be selected as contestants of Football’s First Reality TV Show scheduled to premiere May 2017.
The underlisted players are required to confirm their participation on or before March 31, 2017, failure of which may imply unavaliability or may risk removal.
