Game 57 of Turf Season Scouting Games fell on Sunday, May 26, 2024 in Lagos Nigeria. The Tigers and Active Football Clubs met in their third duel of the year. The first two encounters came up in March with Tigers gaining the advantage in Game 54 and Game 55, scoring a combined 4 goals in both games.
It was a totally new look Tigers team that faced the Active Boys in Game 57, with Joshua Ogonna the only squad player who played in March’s double encounter.
It was not a great start for the Tigers who conceded a goal within the first 5 minutes of the game from a defensive error. Despite several attacking knocks on the visitor’s defense, it took a mesmerizing drilling run from Nduka Anthony to draw a foul in their penalty box.
Nduka who had been outstanding all game, coolly fired the spot kick to rescue a point for the Tigers, leaving Active FC feeling they could have won the game.
