Kishishev, Bulgarian EPL Legend talks Turf Season

Bulgarian and EPL Legend, Radostin Kishishev is our Star Guest this month. He talks about his favourite Nigerian players. Spoiler Alert: it’s a pick between Kanu and Jay-Jay Okocha

Radostin Kishishev is a former Bulgarian footballer and currently director of youth/U19 coach of Chernomorets 1919.

Kishishev earned 88 caps for Bulgaria, representing them at Euro 96 and the 1998 FIFA World Cup.

A constant presence throughout Charlton Athletic’s seven year Premier League spell, Radostin Kishishev retired in 2012 after returning to his hometown club Chernomorets Burgas in Bulgaria.

Starting his playing career in 1991, he went onto make 481 first-team appearances for nine sides including spells at English sides Leeds United, Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion.

A former Bulgarian international player, he represented his country on 88 occasions and played in the 1996 UEFA European Championships as well as the 1998 FIFA World Cup finals.
