Turf Season is transforming grassroots talents into superstars.

Africa is rich in grassroots football talents. Nigeria, alone, has won the FIFA U17 World Cup five times, more than any other country. However, despite the very many talents, the career opportunities have been very few.

Turf Season is a global platform for grassroots footballers to showcase their skills and develop their profiles to attract professional career opportunities, both locally and internationally.

Since 2015, our focus is to identify, develop and expose these hidden talents whose careers die early due to lack of exposure, structure and opportunities.

Our Program includes:

• TS Academy – Football Training Sessions with Life Skills since October 2015
• TS Liga – aka. Turf Season Super League, a grassroots football league since October 2019
• TS Open – Football Scouting Games organised monthly since December 2021

Support our Sports Development Project

Turf Season is currently raising a $1 million fund to invest in Turf Arena, a world-class facility that would set the structure for Nigeria’s grassroots talents to compete favourably in the global sports industry.

Turf Arena is the new home for grassroots football in Africa. An ultramodern youth and sports development centre equipped with a floodlit 3G pitch, hostels and a hub building which will house a Media/ICT learning suite and multi-use spaces.

When complete, Turf Arena will provide a venue for many youth development programmes across a range of areas such as sports, education and training, sales and entrepreneurship, mental health and wellbeing, and community cohesion, as well as a hub for use by the local community in Lagos, Nigeria.
