Tigers return to winning ways in a 7-Goal Thriller in Turf Season Scouting Game 59 with Team Black. It was a new look Tigers side with 10 changes to the starting line-up from Game 58 lone goal defeat. Played on a beautiful Sunday morning on the 7th of July in Lagos, Nigeria, Tigers fought hard after conceding an early goal to finish the game 4-3.
Team Black were first off the mark with a sublime finish from a right side cross. Sanctus’ brace gave Tigers the lead before Hassan made it 3-1 for the Tigers. Sloppy defending gifted Team Black a penalty kick and another goal from a right side cross to bring the game 3-3.
Tigers were noticeably weak on the left side with Alfred and Toheeb finding it hard to cope with Team Black’s drive into the area. However, Shafihi was able to score on his debut for the Tigers, with his goal giving Tigers an all important win.
