Despite suffering a 1-0 defeat after going down to a first half strike, Tigers’ impressive performance won over the fans.
It was a captivating defensive performance in Game 56 of Turf Season’s Football Scouting Day – April 2024 edition.
The Tigers were brilliant to withstand a surge of attacking attempts from the F8 Elite Team.
Fatai Toheeb was in the heart of the defense alongside Kevin Okoli and Awomilusi Damilola, who forged an indomitable partnership to calm the Elite rage.
A penalty conceded early in the game was not enough for the opponents to make their mark.
Tigers’ keeper, Olumide Solanke, saved his team by parrying away the Elite’s close range attempt.
Olumide wasn’t so lucky when the Elite’s effort late in the first half went into the low right corner, from a well taken strike.
Tigers’ attempt to grab a point didn’t get much success as the F8 Elite ran out winners by a 1-0 margin.
