Game 53 was the final game of Turf Season February 2024 Scouting Day, which featured the Trojans once again against the Tigers. The Tigers made 7 changes to the side that started Game 52 to give opportunities to fringe players to showcase their talent. Henry Kalu, Daniel and Bamidele Joseph were among the changes, making their Turf Season debut.
The Tigers’ team definitely lacked the chemistry compared to the Trojans who asserted their dominance over the game and scoring 3 goals including one from the penalty after Tunde lawal was judged by the referee to have committed a defensive foul at the edge of the penalty area.
Substitutes, Joshua, Teslim, Emmanuel and Uche, tried to salvage the game, improving the attacking play, but the Trojan’s tight ship left no room for errors.
The new Tigers will definitely value their experience, leaving their comfort zones of street football to play an organized team on the best pitches of Lagos Nigeria.
