The Football Base Elites entertained football loving fans with a resounding 5 -1 victory over the Buffaloes to win the 2020 Turf Season Super League Final, which was held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Gbagada Stadium, Lagos.
Emeka Ogbonna opened the six goal Super League Final thriller with a calm finish early in the second half, just after a goal less first half where both teams missed a lot of chances to take the lead. Ogbonna’s goal was his eight of the tournament and was enough to earn him the 2020 Super League Golden Boot Award.
FB Elites were unarguably the best team of the tournament with 5 wins in 6 games, scoring 23 goals and conceding just 6 goals. The Team Manager was ecstatic about winning the 2020 Turf Season Super League Title and is very confident of retaining the title in 2021.
