Matchday2 ended with a familiar result from Matchday1 v Yobo FC with Turf Tigers falling to yet another 3-0 defeat by Young Strikers Football Club at the Teslim Balogun Stadium. The match which was scheduled for 7am, kicked off about two hours later due to the heavy downpour. Team Manager of Young Strikers FC, Alhaji Adio, was impressed with the display of the boys and was confident that despite the result, it was a ‘good performance’ from these youngsters who have no professional pedigree in the game yet and managed to give his team which boasts of players who have played FIFA U20 and U17 Tournaments and represented Nigeria and other Professional Club-sides across the world.
Goalkeeper Joel Otsuke, Defenders Eze Ebuka Christian and Caleb Dosunmu as well as Samuel ‘Kiyoi’ Eneni, George Iduh and Boniface John put a fine displays for Turf Season on Matchday 2.
