The Turf Tigers were down by a penalty by half-time, and conceded two more goals in the second half to fall to their first defeat against a very well organized Yobo FC side. Despite failing to win the possession game, the Turf Tigers put up a great effort as well as good defensive play with Caleb Dosunmu and Eze Ebuka Christian distrupting the opposition’s goal advances. It is interesting to note that most of these players are grassroots talents without any exposure and still managed a decent showcase against Yobo FC, a side with professional players with experiences both locally and internationally. There’s still more to come from Turf Season with 12 more matches/weeks to come.
